The HLE-4040 is a polyamide compound RO membrane built for window cleaners and solar panel cleaners who want to get more life out of their DI resin. By purifying incoming water up to 98% before it reaches the final DI stage, the membrane leaves the resin with fewer dissolved solids to remove, which can mean fewer resin changes and refills. The tradeoff is pressure; the higher rejection rate requires more pressure to keep water moving through the RO. For that reason, a pump is highly recommended when running this membrane. It is a good fit for RO/DI setups already running a pump, or for window and solar cleaners looking to get longer life out of their DI resin between refills. Fits any 4"x40" RO housing. Key Features: Up to 98% purification before water reaches the DI resin stage Reduces the dissolved-solids load placed on DI resin Designed for RO/DI window cleaning and solar cleaning systems Higher rejection rate requires increased operating pressure Polyamide compound membrane construction Maximum feedwater flow of 16 gpm Feedwater residual chlorine concentration must remain below 0.1 ppm Continuous operating pH range of 3–10 Specs: Model: HLE-4040 Membrane Type: Polyamide Compound Purification: Up to 98% Testing Pressure: 100 psi (0.69 MPa / 6.9 bar) Testing Solution Temperature: 77°F (25°C) Testing Solution NaCl Concentration: 500 ppm Testing Solution pH: 7.5 Maximum Feedwater Flow: 16 gpm (3.6 m³/hr) Maximum Feedwater Temperature: 113°F (45°C) Maximum Feedwater SDI: 5 Maximum Residual Chlorine Concentration:
