Hylas is a variegated colourway with green and blue streaks. In classical mythology, Hylas sailed with Heracles on the Argo, as his companion and lover. During the voyage, Hylas wa s abducted by Naiads of the spring of Pegae in Mysia, when they fell in love with him, and he vanished into the water with a cry. His disappearance greatly upset Heracles, who searched for him for a great length of time, but Hylas was never to be found again. Show more
