Depending on room climate, temperature and client, results with any eyelash adhesive vary from individual to individual. Your safety is our utmost concern. Patch Test With all first-time applications, it is important to patch-test your clients 24 hours before treatment. The quickest and easist method is to apply a small drop of adhesive to the skin behind the ear. Ensure you drop the glue directly behind the ear on the lower side (where no hair grows) as this area is fairly sensitive. Allow 24 hours to see if any reaction occurs. If no irritation occurs, the glue is safe to use in a full-application session. Patch-tests do not give 100% guarantee of suitability due to the larger amounts of glue that are generally used in full applications. How to Store Once opened, the glue should be stored in a cool dry room. Keep the glue bottle tightly closed in upright position, also in its original heat-protection packaging with the included silica bag or rice inside. Shelf life is 4 to 6 weeks once the glue container has been opened. Always shake well (30-45 seconds) before use. How to Shake: Important Always remove the glue bottle cap and place some lint-free tissue to cover the top of the bottle. If you shake the adhesive bottle with its cap still on, adhesive residue will build up around the inside of the lid. This residue will prevent the bottle from closing tightly enough; as a result of this, air and humidity will find their way into the bottle and ruin the lash adhesive. Before first use, shake the bottle of glue for 30 to 60 seconds. Before you apply each new drop of eyelash adhesive during the same session, shake the bottle again for 30 seconds. This mixes the pigment inside the glue to keep it at the right consistency. How Can You Achieve The Best and Longest-Lasting Results? If humidity levels are below the recommended standard, use only a tiny amount of adhesive. If humidity is higher than recommended, use slightly more adhesive than usual. Before applying any eyelash extensions, always cleanse the client’s natural lashes well. Ensure this by using Blink by Vick Primer for the best results. For Classic 1:1 Eyelash Extensions isolate each natural eyelash first, dipping only the base (2 to 3 mm) of the lash extension you are applying into the glue, and removing slowly. Removing the extension too fast will form beads of adhesive on the lash and this will prolong the setting time. Do not swipe any glue over or across the natural lash. Simply apply the lash extension to the natural lash and then gently press. How many full sets of lashes in a 2-hour application can be completed using 1 bottle of Blink by Vick Hyper-Strong Adhesive? With room humidity of 30 to 45%, 4 medium-sized drops of glue are required per set. Approximately 41 lash applications. With room humidity of 45 to 60%, 6 medium-sized drops of glue are required per set. Approximately 27 lash applications. Amount of adhesive used also depends on ambient temperature. If room temperature goes above 24°C, the amount of adhesive needed can double per set.
