How to Use Put the stocking on first thing in the morning, when swelling is lowest. Turn the stocking inside out down to the heel, then ease the foot in and pull up to the ankle. Unroll the stocking up the leg to the mid-thigh. Smooth out any wrinkles from the bottom upward for even compression. Tip: let leg lotion dry before putting the stocking on; a little powder or rubber dishwashing gloves can help it slide on and sit smoothly.
