At SoCal Brewing Supply, we keep liquid yeast in temperature-monitored refrigeration 24 hours a day before it ever leaves our facility. That part is under our control. Carrier handling, routing delays, hot trucks, weekend holds, and extended transit are not. That is why we strongly recommend choosing the right protection level and using expedited shipping whenever liquid yeast health matters to you. It does not guarantee arrival temperature, yeast viability, or perfect carrier performance. If a package is delayed, left in a hot truck, rerouted, or held over a weekend, that is outside our control. Melted ice packs on arrival are normal and do not automatically mean the protection failed. The cold pack's job is to slow warming and reduce the severity of temperature abuse, not to keep yeast refrigerator-cold indefinitely.
