Melbourne's Icecream Hands spent the nineties being criminally overlooked while making some of the best guitar pop this country ever produced. That's not revisionism, that's just w hat happened.Giant Fox Pineapple Tree sits in that sweet spot where Big Star worship collides with something distinctly Australian, all jangling chords, hooks that don't quit, and lyrics that suggest the band read too much and felt everything too hard. Alternative rock with genuine pop instincts, no filler, no posturing.Format: CD. Artist origin: Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.Fans of: Big Star, The Go-Betweens, Custard, Fountains of Wayne.
