We decided to capture the love we have for these childhood staples of our youth in a loose leaf tea made from herbs & spices we have enjoyed growing on our family farm like Hibiscus, Ginger and Pineapple Sage and more. Made with Roselle (Hibiscus), Pineapple sage, Lemon Verbena, Black Tea, Ginger and Cinnamon Farmhouse Kola: A Loose Leaf Tea inspired by our favorite Colas Nothing beats an ice cold Cola on a hot muggy day. Folks in the South, Caribbean and West Africa have enjoyed Cola brewed from real Kola Nuts for centuries. We've taken it a step beyond just a simple Kola Tea and added Black Tea, Cinnamon, Lemon Verbena and Ginger to try to recreate a drink inspired by American cola sodas. We recommend sweetening with a teaspoon of Dark Brown Sugar and enjoy while swaying in a hammock. Ingredients: Kola Nut, Black Tea, Cinnamon, Lemon Verbena, Ginger Southern Classic: Southern Classic is a traditional old fashioned black tea. This black tea is bright and lively, medium-bodied and delightfully tangy, all the things a Southern tea should be. Brew it up in a pot just like your granny did for a refreshingly perfect afternoon tea. Sweeten to taste with cane sugar and lemon wedges, turn on the ceiling fan and relax. Made with Pure Ceylon Black Tea Each Tea makes 20-24 servings or 3, 2 quarts pitchers Brewing Instructions: For individual serving- Place one teaspoon of tea in a tea ball or infuser, heat 8oz of water to 210 F or boiling, pour hot water in to container with tea, allow to steep for 5-10min (longer for a stronger flavor), sweeten to taste, we recommend raw cane sugar or a splash of lemonade. For a 2 quart pitcher use 2 &1/2 tablespoons of tea to 1quart of boiling water, the easiest way is to place the loose tea directly into the water in the pot and bring the water to a boil, as soon as the water reaches the boiling point turn off heat, stir the mixture to ensure everything is full incorporated, remove pot from the hot surface and allow it to cool to a safe handling temperature, after it has cooled place a fine mesh strainer over your pitcher, pour your tea into strainer so that the water and not the tea is flowing into the pitcher, top your pitcher off with an additional quart of water and sweeten to taste.
