Pierre A. M’Pelé, known as Pam Boy, is a fashion critic, writer, and editor whose bold voice challenges industry norms with wit and insight. His publication SCRNSHT, released by IDEA, explores the complexities of digital life through a sharp, creative lens. SCRNSHT issue 2, ADHD, dives into the fast-paced, often overwhelming digital landscape, following M’Pelé’s official ADHD diagnosis. “SCRNSHT issue 2 ADHD is like my brain: a complicated, chaotic mess that can take me and you in any direction. ADHD can be a powerful locomotive for creativity.” — Pam Boy SCRNSHT celebrates the diversity in digital experiences and elevates voices from a range of perspectives. The issue includes text message interviews with @bfrnd, @thekimbino, and @phileoparis, as well as contributions diving into the phones of Instagram trendsetters @williamcult, @nigeriangothic, @stylenotcom, @gettyimagesfanclub, @meme_saint_laurent, @ideservecouture, @hautlemode, and @yourfashionarchive — all key members of the fashion digital community. The back cover features an exclusive cartoon by Emmy-nominated, WGA Award-winning and Peabody Award-winning artist, writer, and comedian Asher Perlman. The issue includes crucial questions such as What is beauty? (answered by makeup artist Ammy Drammeh, casting director Mischa Notcutt, a prominent Paris-based plastic surgeon, and a beauty institute founder) and How to deal with rejection at Berghain? (answered by Berliner DJ and writer Pierre-Alexis Muehle). A study of the selfie by model Gleb Sazon, a fashion crossword, and a poem by Max Wallis on ADHD are also part of the publication. The new format (32cm x 18cm) recalls the 9:16 social media posts to which netizens are accustomed.
