The music reflects this inward look, by underlying Talbot’s lyrics with layered synths and a nearly ambient glow to these songs. While there are still plenty of moments on this album that will be sure to open up circle pits around the world as one of music’s most imminent festival bands returns to a re-opened touring landscape but Crawler finds Idles embracing more dynamics than ever before in the most-forward thinking album of their career.
