The rib band is w orked with a size smaller needle than usual to ensure a snug fit. It is worked flat but may be Worked in the round if desired. You can make this in one colour, have a contrasting colour band, or crown, or both, or vary the stripes. Depth of the beanie may be altered, but yarn quantities will vary.
