The common technical challenges in mobility electrification are miniaturization and high power density, driven by constraints on installation space, the need for improved cruising range, and fuel efficiency. The report categorizes the development trends into seven areas: "Trends and Outlook of Technology Development," "Trends and Outlook of Application Development and Projects," "Trends and Outlook of Miniaturization and High Power Density Technologies," "Trends and Outlook of Environmental Resistance Requirements and Technical Issues," "Trends and Outlook of Material and Process Development," "Trends and Outlook of Cooling and Thermal Management Technologies," and "Trends and Outlook of Motor Structure Technologies." We hope this report will serve as a platform for information dissemination and discussion on next-generation mobility research and development, including aircraft electrification, in Japan, and motivate related engineers.
