This paper proposes an advanced motor behavior model that is based on the flux linkage model instead of the inductance model to simplify the derivation of equations and to reduce the amount of table data produced from FEA results. The proposed model includes magnetic saturation, cross-coupling, and spatial harmonics. Its performance is verified in circuit simulation by comparing direct FEA results with measurement results.
