In single-phase inverter, the DC voltage has a ripple due to the propagation of the 2nd power pulsation from the fundamental voltage and current. The APD method suppresses the DC voltage ripple by compensating for the power pulsation. However, a single-phase grid voltage contains harmonic components and power pulsation from these harmonics, which can propagate to the DC side. Conventional APD control compensates for the 2nd power pulsation only from the fundamental components, and thus cannot suppress the DC voltage ripple caused by the harmonic components. Therefore, this paper proposes control strategies for APD method that can compensate for the power pulsation caused by both fundamental and harmonic components.
