Intermediate Level 14"wide x 15 1/4" high 166 pieces.First Bloom Hat is a sun hat with lots of flowers, daffodils, poppy, daisy, tulips and miscellaneous little flowers, with a red ribbon bow.Woods Used: Peroba Rosa (orange/yellow), Red Heart, Yellow Heart, Holly, Basswood (hat), and Peruvian Walnut for the dark, 1/8" maple/birch dowels.Suggested Blades: Gold #5 for Western Red Cedar or any softwood. Pegas MG-3, Platinum Plus #5, Platinum #5, TLB #5 for the hardwoods. PLP-2/0, or TLB #2/0 to cut the interior lines (after the exterior lines are cut). Texturing: The Mini Wheel was used to texture the hat. The basswood was so soft it was hard to keep from going too deep. If you use a harder wood a Wonder Wheel would work great.
