BOOK 2 THE CONTROLLERS The first part of this report describes the natural threats to human extinction—see asteroids, pole shifts, and global warming, where the latter is unfortuna tely not caused by human activity. In fact, according to independent expert opinion, human activity can only influence the physics of the atmosphere to an extent of 1 to 4 percent. Independent research has also shown that particles of pollutants emitted into the atmosphere by the fossil fuel industry reduce the amount of radiation reaching the Earth's surface, thus cooling rather than warming it. The Rockefeller Foundation's 1987 "climate conspiracy" has been described by insiders as "the biggest business deal ever invented by man." And 66.4 percent of scientists who were asked "Are humans causing global warming?" declined to comment because there was not enough evidence to make an informed opinion. 32.6 percent said yes, while 0.7 percent said no, and 0.3 percent were uncertain about the cause of global warming. The result of the statistics, which exclude 66.4 percent of the opinions, is therefore a 97 percent "expert consensus" in climate science. In Earth's history, carbon dioxide levels have been ten times higher than today, while at the same time, temperatures have decreased four to five degrees from the average. And the main professionals responsible for the unprofessional climate protection investments and regulations costing taxpayers trillions of dollars, the members of the Congressional "climate protection" commission, were 125 to 200 times wrong about the carbon dioxide content of the atmosphere. And it turns out that Greta Thunberg was in fact a BlackRock protégée. And the CIA, FBI, and Mossad, as the operators and moderators of Wikipedia, are removing negative Wikipedia entries about pharmaceutical companies. Skeptics like James Randi, Antifa, and the Greens are also using the secret services as puppets to discredit scientists with unofficial views on Wikipedia. Such is also the fate of the independent atmospheric scientists who found the causal findings of the official UN IPCC experts on anthropogenic warming not credible. The book presents the real costs of renewable energy production and the climate projections of the last fifty years, as predicted in the press by the UN IPCC and other “official” experts. And none of which have come true—or, quite the opposite has happened. The forced carbon emission cuts imposed on companies and countries by BlackRock et al are forcing them to irrationally subsidize unprofitable “renewable/green” technologies. The only reason for the ESG blackmail is that the Controller banks earn on average fifteen times more on the twenty-five trillion dollars of loans for the long uncompetitive and unprofitable “green” technologies than on the loans for the banned fossil industry. Until 2020, marine shipping used less refined, high-sulfur diesel fuels, but the new regulation has reduced sulfur content by around 80 percent. Ocean surface temperatures in 2023 broke records, which one study argued, contrary to the official narrative, would have increased global warming—rather than reduce it—and "quite significantly." According to the study, the extra heat trapped over the oceans after pollution cuts will cause "…about a doubling of the warming rate. And the warming effect of pollution reduction is expected to last about seven years." The principle of the less pollution, the warmer the weather, has been confirmed by the significant reduction in the amount of polluting aerosols released into the atmosphere by Chinese factories over the past decade. This has increased the intensity of solar radiation reaching the Earth's surface, leading to successive heat waves that have caused toxic algal blooms and fish deaths in the North Pacific. The UN's IPCC considered this to be a consequence of global warming but could not explain why the heatwaves were occurring relatively suddenly and in a relatively limited area. However, climate models by independent US, Chinese, and German scientists have shown that the rapid reduction in the release of pollutants from factories into the atmosphere caused the sudden warming. It seems as if this evidence disproves man-made warming, since it is the pollutants from human activity that are causing cooling, and the less the fossil industry pollutes, the more the warming increases. The solution is not, of course, to increase or maintain pollution, but for the Controllers to spend the $25 trillion in credit on answers and solutions to the real causes. In other words, there is a much more logical way to rationally spend tens of billions of dollars to mitigate the consequences of increasing global warming and more unpredictable weather. As well as the construction of large water pipelines like oil pipelines, because freshwater/drinking water will soon be the world's “gold,” and to get it, there will be population movements and civil wars, if rainmaking, irrigation, and drinking water supply cannot be planned and distributed with precision. The main reason for the actual warming climate, according to the author, is the weakening of the Earth's "geodynamo," which has caused the Earth’s geomagnetic umbrella to weaken significantly. This could also foreshadow a pole shift, a process that seems to have already begun. See the increasingly significant annual shift of the magnetic north pole, or the South Atlantic Anomaly, long known in geophysics. The accelerating migration of the Earth's magnetic north pole makes it essential to recalibrate navigation satellites more and more frequently. The data from these GPS satellites is used by a wide range of devices, from smartphone routing applications to aircraft navigation. The Pentagon, which introduced the GPS system in 1972, has had and still has the greatest need for this system. It also makes it possible, for example, to precisely locate former friends, allies, and comrades-in-arms, now considered enemies, with a so-called pinpoint missile. Unfortunately, the weakening of the geodynamo today also coincides with a change in the cycle of the Sun's interior, which two German researchers believe is the cause of warming. This cyclical change is not an increase in the well-known coronal refraction, which occurs on average every eleven years, but a change in the vorticity of the inner part. The book shows—instead of spreading money and deliberately destroying economies and blaming people for no good reason, but resulting in fifteen times the bank profits—what should be done with the $25 trillion in credit for climate protection, so that the planet remains a livable and somewhat safe place for humanity to live. Our Controllers spend virtually nothing on the solutions needed to address the real causes. What the media claims that so much or so little is being spent by the Controllers' credit institutions and private “public purpose” foundations on this is in fact, being spent to indebt—i.e., weaken—the countries that use cheap fossil energy. A plan that was already drawn up by the powers that be by 2015, if the Hungarian-born head of the Stratfor think tank that designed it is to be believed. Another potential cause of our natural extinction is the asteroid threat. These celestial "pebbles" pass dangerously close to Earth almost every month, and we have no technology to avoid collisions. Given the interests of the arms lobby, there is no doubt that they will never give up their ever-increasing revenues from uncontrolled overbilling of any magnitude. Where a hammer can cost $20,000, a toilet seat $330,000—see the funny remark in the Independence Day film by the father of one of the main characters, Jeff Goldblum, when the President goes down to see the remains of the 1947 Roswell UFO crash at the Area 51 underground research facility. Which he, as President, could not have known about, nor the funding for it, as this arrangement allowed research into alien technologies to escape the oversight and control of Congress and the current President. The humorous comment is not so amusing in light of the employee lawsuit against the Pentagon regarding 9/11. The Pentagon, perhaps the most heavily guarded building in the world, had a video camera system that could only take a picture every two seconds, according to the National Geographic Channel documentary, so the plane crash could not be seen. The accounting computers that had just been destroyed there rendered the $3.3 trillion embezzlement admitted by Secretary of Defense Rumsfeld unprovable. The Pentagon-employed survivors saw flames coming out of their computers, heard explosions instead of the crash, and saw no passenger plane wreckage. According to the lawsuit against Cheney-Rumsfeld-Mayers, explosives were detonated at the Pentagon to simulate what looked like a passenger plane crash. In the model land of democracy and checks and balances, Bush's cousin presided over the final judgment in the Bush administration's 9/11 case. Well, the bills for the $330,000 "toilet seats" or the $3.3 trillion exploding computer data storage devices would not hurt presumed profit margins. In fact, they could be substantially higher, since instead of weapons, tens of billions of dollars could be spent on developing anti-asteroid defenses, and no one would grumble about overbilling fraud, embezzlement, misappropriation, bribery, and money laundering. According to some estimates, it would take at least fifteen years and a loan of twenty-five trillion euros to develop a far from perfect anti-asteroid defense. Perhaps it is not for nothing that billionaires are looking for other planets to settle on. The book then goes on to discuss the real man-made dangers, i.e., financial crises, "revolutions," world wars, and even epidemics, triggered by the Controllers. But who are the Controllers? And how they have won the right to issue money, through millennia of struggle, to ensure effective control in every country in the world—except their last and greatest adversary, China, whom they plan to defeat in World War IV. To do this, they must gain control of the Russian nuclear arsenal in the NATO-Russian WWIII planned by the RAND think tank. The plan is to replace the nationalist Russian leadership with a puppet government of pro-American Russian oligarchs. Until then, the war cannot end—whoever has to die for it, and whatever the cost. It is also with a common World Currency that the further escalation of World War III in Ukraine can be avoided. The real starting point was not the Russian invasion of 24 February 2022, but the broken promise of US Secretary of State James Baker, acting as the Controlling power in 1990. He promised Gorbachev at the time that "we will not go one inch further east" than the border between the USSR and the German Democratic Republic. Then, in five waves, the entire Eastern European bloc was NATOized. And they did so by promising membership of the European Union to the countries of the Soviet bloc in Eastern Europe, which were eager for Western prosperity and freedom of travel. And when they were allowed to join, they were then happy to join NATO, saying that now that we belonged to the West economically, why not belong to it militarily? The elites of Russia, which remained on the ruins of the dissolved Soviet Union, did nothing to prevent this, arguing that it was the internal right of the former annexed countries to decide with whom they would join. But mostly the Russian elite did nothing because they could not do anything, because they could become billionaires on the credit of the Controller banks in the privatization, so they could not go against the will of the Controllers, who wanted the dismantling of the Soviet Union and its economic separation from Germany. Already since before World War I. Putin's nationalist government became the one that tried to act against the consequences of predatory privatization and to retain Russian territory and mineral wealth. The disintegration of the Soviet sphere of interest around 1990 in the former socialist countries replaced the former pro-Russian leadership with pro-Western oppositional leadership selected/supported by the CIA—and committed with the help of the Controller loans—and thus the separation of these countries from Russia was achieved without armed struggle. Our Controllers were so emboldened by this that they already intervened in 2014, albeit with only a few dozen mercenaries, to convert Ukraine, when the neocons/Victoria Nuland/CIA organized the Euromaidan Square coup in Kiev. The protests were allegedly financed from abroad by the following CIA organizations: NED, Open Society, Freedom House, USAID, IRI, NDI, USAID. The “revolution” was financed from within, for example by Poroshenko, who, after Yanukovych's overthrow, became prime minister thanks to Nuland. The daily subsistence allowances paid by the above organizations ensured the survival of a camp of so-called “democratic” demonstrators who wanted to remove the democratically elected Yanukovych from power for months. When that failed, CIA-hired snipers were tasked with shooting both protesters and law enforcement officers. Each side thought the other was firing on them, and with over a hundred dead, it was understandable that tempers flared. With the help of the Controllers’ social media, the legitimate government was eventually overthrown. The main crime of which was that it was pro-Russian rather than pro-Western and refused to join the EU. The new pro-Western government appointed by Nuland had two main tasks. The first was to provoke the Russians with laws against the Russian nationalities in Ukraine until Russia finally came to their defense, preferably with arms. The Poroshenko government has succeeded in this task, but its language policy measures have attracted criticism from several international organizations and countries. Even the Venice Commission and Human Rights Watch have expressed concern about the insufficient protection of minority language rights. In particular, they criticized the fact that the laws against minorities did not provide for adequate exceptions for the Russian language, unlike the official languages of the EU. The second task of the Poroshenko government was to push for Ukraine's membership of the European Union and then NATO. Membership would have been followed automatically by the deployment of US missiles in Ukraine. They would have then been only five hundred kilometers from Moscow, not 1,500 as they were under the deceived Gorbachev. And the Russians would also have lost the use of the Black Sea port of Sevastopol, which would have been a major strategic disadvantage for them. Thus, the Russian occupation of Crimea and eastern Ukraine was a geopolitical response to the Western-oriented Ukrainian revolution. Indeed, Russia saw the overthrow of Yanukovych by the CIA coup as a strategic defeat, as Ukraine's exit from the Russian sphere of influence posed a serious national security threat to Moscow. The Ukrainian-Russian conflict, which had been precisely and openly engineered over decades by the think tanks CFR, Stratfor, and RAND, was a success from the Controller’s point of view. Perhaps Trump's victory may stall the process a bit, because Trump has something to live up to in his election promise to end this war quickly. But he can't really do anything, because until our Controllers acquire the Russian nuclear arsenal, the war must go on anyway. World War III today pits NATO and Israel on one side against Russia, China, Iran, Gaza, Lebanon, Yemen, and Syria. The sole aim of this World War is therefore to give the US control of the nearly 5,500 (approx.) Russian nuclear weapons in addition to their own 5,300 (approx.) or so. This is to be done in such a way that the Russian stockpile can under no circumstances serve to protect China, which currently has—officially—six hundred nuclear weapons. In other words, the new, Controller-friendly Russian leadership must remain at least neutral in World War IV, which at that point will be fought only against China. To this end, our Controllers must at all costs replace Putin's nationalist government with an American puppet government. And for this to happen, Putin and/or Trump must disappear from the stage of history in the foreseeable future. According to the experts of the CFR think tank, the US must launch a nuclear first strike against China by 2030 at the latest. In World War III, two Slavic sibling nations were turned against each other by these masterminds, to kill each other in the interests of our Controllers. At the same time, Americans are not dying under the RAND think tank's sixteen-point plan. In fact, Senator Lindsey Graham declared that the billions being poured into Ukraine is "the best money we've ever spent. And we are not losing American lives in Ukraine!" 90 percent of the US loans to Ukraine will be used to buy US weapons. Russia's nuclear stockpile, "democratized" by the US puppet government, is essential, along with America's, to corner and defeat China. According to the other think tank—the CFR—our Controllers have until 2030 to launch a pre-emptive nuclear strike, because by then, China will be able to arm itself to US levels. The war will be like a “sucker punch” by the nuclear powers neighboring China—already pro-American or with governments blackmailed by America. The blackmailing of these neighbors is by design, see Kazakhstan or India, where Adani's old friend, Prime Minister Modi, was blackmailed by an offshore company “audit” of the Adani group. He was forced to agree to “enhanced defense cooperation” and offer the Americans shipping lanes to India, i.e., where US nuclear-armed submarines and warships could be deployed against China. This was following a standard Controller provocation, which has served as a manipulated or false justification for war, or casus belli, on numerous occasions. Then the current US puppet government in Taiwan will take the place of the current government in Beijing. The strength and importance of the yuan are due to the underlying strength of the Chinese economy as the world's main supplier of goods. The changing military and economic balance of power has led non-Western countries to choose China's currency, which is now more economically and socially stable, as the next world currency after the oil-backed petrodollar. China's trade with the Global South has already surpassed that with the US, the EU, and Japan. But this process is fatal for our Controllers, as they will lose the 2500-year race to become the world's money-issuing power just before the finish line. And unless they succeed in replacing Putin with a pro-American Russian president on the pretext of a NATO-Russian war, the military alliance between Russia and China cannot be defeated by arms. Our Controllers will then hope for the military might of AI, but since the US Air Force's AI-controlled drone shot down its own human controllers in a simulation, it seems that China has nothing to fear in this area either. Similarly, the track record of Palantir, a company developing military AI for the Pentagon, in Ukraine does not show that its AI-driven military tools are effective enough to win a war—even against the Russians. Not to mention China, which, given the AI-based operation of its social scoring system launched ten years ago, may be well ahead of the NSA, CIA, Pentagon, Palantir, and their peers in terms of the sophistication and knowledge of AI systems. But whoever owns the better AI weapons system, the race to develop the Holy Trinity of Destiny has and will continue to put the control of military destructive devices in the "hands" of the untethered and infinitely fast "ChaosGPTs". But the only way the author's AI ban is realistic is if the Controllers' rivals—China and Russia—also stop developing AI. This, in turn, can only happen if the proposed "world peace on money" is achieved from a financial point of view. An agreement is more logical and easier than defeating the combined military might of Russia and China. But even if by some miracle this could be achieved, it would require our Controllers to defeat AI and its robots that have long been developing themselves, and they will have no chance of doing so by then. Technically, the financial solution could be to take the current, or possibly the next few years' foreign exchange exposure as a starting point. Given the international weight of the three major currencies, the dollar, the yuan, and the ruble, the solution would consist of the creation of a "World Currency" Governing Council. The voting shares would be allocated on the basis of the current and projected world economic weight of the currencies over the next few years. I consider only these three to be the major currencies because the currencies of the other countries are largely dollar-dependent, as countries are indebted in dollars or have dollar-denominated savings. Nor can the euro be seen as a competitor to the dollar, as it is entirely under Controller influence. Thus, it can rather be seen as a financial instrument to weaken Germany, namely because of the comfortable—"mañana"—countries sharing the euro. The euro, which promotes their undeserved prosperity, is therefore automatically doomed to weakness and instability. In recent years, the global dominance of the dollar may have been disrupted because a growing number of BRICS+ countries have switched to the Chinese yuan in their transactions with China. In 2023, Argentina, Saudi Arabia, and Iraq started trading with China in yuan, even though all three countries have had pro-US governments. A further blow to dollar hegemony is that nearly half of the developing world's debt is now denominated in yuan. But there is a much larger, and also yuan-dependent, set of countries from the BRICS+ group of countries. That includes all the countries of the world, as essentially everyone imports almost all goods or commodities from China. For this reason, China can switch the currency of settlement from the currency of the country buying the product to yuan at the moment it sees fit. Or from the dollar or the euro, which is still the intermediary in the transaction, to the yuan. All these factors will make the Chinese currency the strongest and most stable in the long term. But the importance of the Russian currency is not the weight of the economy behind it, but the country's nuclear arsenal, which is comparable to America's, and its potential reserves of raw materials. Thus, its participation in the World Monetary Governing Council cannot be excluded. Of course, there is no doubt that the three powers would only agree on the voting percentages at knife-edge discussions—if they ever did. The author suggests that the Controllers could send representatives to the Council at 50 percent, China at 40 percent, and Russia at 10 percent, in view of these power balances. Of course, other considerations may influence this proportion, but the author would consider this proportion to be realistic based on his current knowledge. And it is only through this bargaining process that the most stable World Currency could be created. Of course, as stable as the World Currency of a world three times in debt can be. But in global terms, it would still be more stable than any other currency. As far as the author is aware, no such proposal has yet been made, so he puts it forward. It is hoped that this solution will enable both opposing forces to find their place in the money-issuing business. And then, instead of nuclear, chemical, biological, and AI weaponry, they could use their forces to jointly fight the dangers of human extinction from existence on Earth itself—as a most complex World Government. This would not be the World Government of the Controllers hated by the anti-globalists, but a somewhat truly democratic and shared World Government of humanity. “Somewhat” only because the smaller countries would of course have no say in it either, but it would be balanced among the big ones. And so the populations of the small ones would no longer have to give their wealth and their lives to make the big ones even bigger. Furthermore, the tens of trillions of euros in loans now being spent on nonsensical projects, which have been invented with great intellectual effort, would also be put to good use. Then perhaps the Earth could enter an era of unprecedented peace—the "golden age" envisaged by spiritualists. Thus, agreement on a World Currency is necessary and inevitable. From a layman's point of view at least, there is no logical alternative for the real leaders of humanity if they are to survive against AI. According to the author, it would also make sense for our Controllers to quickly agree on a World Currency because the “bubble” dollar is on the verge of collapse due to its rapid depreciation, but this could be covered/avoided by the introduction of a World Currency. The reasons for the depreciation are as follows. The first reason is that the US stock market is overvalued, according to many countries' financial authorities, and the bubble economy is on the verge of collapse. Thus, the more cautious countries are using the dollar less and less as an escape currency, i.e., they are not investing their reserves in US dollar bonds. Instead, they are buying gold, thus no longer financing the US economy by buying US Treasuries. The second reason is that, since 2020 alone, $11 trillion has been spent on the unearned welfare—or “bribes”—of US citizens. But even more so on armaments, wars, and the fattening of giant corporations. This gigantic, unfunded printing of money amounts to a debt of a size that the country has needed the previous two hundred years to accumulate. In other words, the debt accumulated over two hundred years has doubled in four years. This figure alone suggests that a near-term collapse is inevitable. Not to mention the fact that this $11 trillion in new debt is growing by one trillion every one hundred days, as the Biden administration has demanded so much credit to stay in power. But in October 2023, the government was told by Wall Street that it could no longer sell dollar bonds with less and less collateral. This has not happened since World War II. In other words, no one wants to lend US dollars in exchange for a bond slowly becoming unsecured. For this reason, the government should cut spending. This causes loss of income and fewer customers as jobs are lost. Fewer customers result in less corporate profit, making the company's stock less profitable. This should also cause the stock market to fall by fifty percent or more. Given all of this, it is perhaps no coincidence that J.P. Morgan Bank has called the coming crisis "the most predictable crisis in history." The trend is confirmed by the new highs that gold has recently reached. While in October 2023 it was selling at around $1,800, when it became clear that the US government was having problems selling bonds, it rose to $2,100 in a month and then to $2,400 by the summer of 2024. The rising price of gold is also a reliable predictor of stock market crashes. Which is no wonder, since those who precipitated the crashes knew when to buy gold in time, which demand naturally drives the price up even further. The price usually starts a major rise in the months before the market crashes. It rose from $256 in August 1999 to $337 in October, before the S&P 500 stock market fell by 50 percent in 2000. And in April 2007, it went from $675 to $871 in six months, and then the stock market fell by 50 percent in the recession that followed. The third warning sign is the price/earnings—P/E—ratio. The price/earnings ratio indicates how many years of profit would be needed to get back the money we paid for a share. In a normal market, the P/E ratio is around sixteen, but now it is thirty-five, which is more than double the historical ratio! And some companies have four times that ratio. There have only been two times in history when the P/E ratio was around thirty-five. The first was right before the 1929 market crash, and then the market plunged by 80 percent. The second occurred in 1999, just before the dot-com bubble burst, when the market fell by 50 percent. The fourth risk is that a 50 percent collapse in the stock market will be accompanied by a similar fall in real estate values, a fall in bond values of around 30 percent, and a multiplication of the unemployment rate. In the US, house prices have doubled in the last ten years. In 2014, the average home in America cost $200,000; today it costs $400,000. But average incomes have risen by only about 14 percent instead of 100 percent in that time. That is, homes built on credit have grown far beyond the real, solvent demand, so prices have to fall by half on average. Thus, before the moment of truth—which they are the first to see, knowing perfectly well the crisis signs listed above—our Controllers sell the shares and buy, for example, physical gold. By selling, they automatically generate and then accelerate the collapse process. The assets of debtors who are unable to repay their loans are thus transferred to the creditor banks. If the smaller banks get bogged down in deliberately irresponsible lending, they are bought up cheaply—i.e., “rescued”—by the big Controller banks. And the giant banks are already so big that they can never fail. Instead, they will be bailed out by the governments—as in 2008—and/or merged and then become even bigger than they were individually. Of course, the collapse can be postponed again for a few years, for example, by introducing a new pandemic quarantine, with tens of trillions of euros being pumped into the bubble economies to "repair the damage." But the final economic collapse, which will be the bursting of an even bigger bubble, and thus cause even more of a bang, will definitely occur with the introduction of humanoid robots. At that point, not only the comfortable Westerners but also the hard-working Far Easterners will lose their jobs, so that a free basic income will have to be provided for all. But there is perhaps no more inflationary solution than this. Financial crises, "revolutions," wars, world wars, epidemics, but also suicide bombings—see 9/11 in the USA or 10/7 Israel—are an integral part of the exercise of power by the Controllers. In the case of 9/11 in New York, insiders revealed that the building was blown up by the CIA/Pentagon and its subcontractor using military nanotechnology, and that the Mossad may have helped recruit the “terrorists.” On 9/11, Bin Laden said that "we didn't do it" and that he believed that "the Jews or the US secret services were behind the attacks." The interview was not carried by the mainstream media. But one CIA executive said, "We did it"...And we thought we were exposed when the BBC announced that the World Trade Center building 7 had collapsed, but we blew it up 20 minutes later." His statement was not carried by the mainstream media. According to the documentary "Painful Deception," the largest such demolition company is Controlled Demolition Inc., whose trademark is the special demolition technology Directional Remote Explosives Severance. The company has been working with the military and the State Department—i.e. the CIA—for decades on the most secretive projects, specializing in nanothermite-guided demolitions. According to one of its former employees, the collapse of the WTC towers one, two, and seven was a standard controlled demolition, only the buildings were a little bigger than usual. It was the air exercise led by Vice President Cheney, when NORAD fighter jets protecting the airspace were deliberately sent out to the ocean, so that the Cheneys could fly their planes into WTC Towers One and Two without interference. The planes were remotely controlled from the Pentagon's "Doomsday" aircraft. This may also explain how at least five of the nineteen hijackers were seen alive by witnesses after the attacks. According to Gwenyth Todd, then a senior national security expert, the prime suspects in 9/11 are not necessarily the best-known neocons of the PNAC military lobby—Wolfowitz, Perle, Rumsfeld, Libby—but Richard Clarke. He was already working with Clarke when he was exposed for spying for Israel, but Clinton had to put him on the National Security Council anyway. What has been identified as human metapneumovirus—HMPV, may be a more lethal version, or a strong Covid mutant from the Pentagon people, as patients have experienced very severe weakness, loss of sense of taste and smell, and now many more people have fallen severely ill than during Covid. The human metapneumovirus was first discovered in 2001 by Dutch virologists seeking an explanation for the respiratory infections that had occurred in recent decades but could not be attributed to any single virus. When they analyzed nasal secretions from twenty-eight children who had experienced such infections over the past twenty years, they isolated a previously undetected paramyxovirus. It belongs to a large family of viruses that includes respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), human parainfluenza, measles, and mumps. According to experts, although HMPV is mutating, it is not considered to be a virus of epidemic potential.
