IK Multimedia MODO DRUM 1.5 SE IK Multimedia MODO DRUM 1.5 SE is a physically modeled acoustic drum virtual instrument that combines modal synthesis with advanced sampling to deliver realistic drum performances without relying exclusively on large sample libraries. Instead of simply triggering static drum recordings, MODO DRUM recreates the physical behavior of the drums in real time, giving producers detailed control over the construction, tuning, playing technique and acoustic environment of each kit. The Special Edition includes five complete drum kits — Studio, Jazzy, Silver, Brit Custom and Metal — covering everything from polished studio and vintage jazz sounds to indie rock and aggressive modern metal. Individual drums can be customized by changing parameters such as shell size, depth, material, head type, tuning and damping, while snares offer additional control over snare type and tension. Cymbal tuning and damping can also be adjusted. Performance parameters control how the virtual drummer plays the kit, while integrated room, mixer and effects sections allow complete drum productions to be built directly inside the instrument. Additional MODO DRUM kits can be added later through IK's expandable ecosystem.
