If you go on a date and the person you are out with hands you a list of rules as soon as you meet, the relationship is not likely to go very far. If you want to learn about someone , you spend time with them. You do things together. You learn what foods they like, what they like to do in their spare time. Are they into sports or video games? Do they like sushi or BBQ? Over time, you learn what they like. Such is the complexity of wisdom. We do not learn wisdom by simply memorizing dos and don’ts.
