Have you ever had to teach a group of lower elementary children? You have to be very clear in your instructions or else you risk one of them having a nuclear meltdown. For example, the phrase “you can have a piece of candy” seems innocent. Unfortunately, if any of the kids thinks you’re leaving them out, they may throw a tantrum. Unless they calm down, they won’t realize the invitation was for them too. This is the image we get at the end of Revelation—only the stakes are infinitely higher. God offers grace to everyone.
