The Ilse Sweater is a short, straight sweater with saddle shoulders and a funnel neck. Choose your size based on your bust measurement (or where you are widest) and how oversized you want the sweater to be. The body and sleeve lengths can easily be adjusted according to preference. Choosing yarnThe pattern has a gauge of 17 stitches / 20 rows on a 5 mm [US 8] needles, which corresponds to a fingering-weight yarn (27–28 sts/10 cm) held together with 2 strands of silk mohair (25 g = approx.. 210 m / 230 yds). Alternatively, 1 strand of Nanna by Permin can be used. Another option is one strand of a fingering-weight yarn held together with one strand of Soft Fine from Isager yarn. You can substitute the yarn as long as the gauge is maintained. I recommend making a swatch to ensure your gauge matches.
