Based in Los Angeles and Lebanon, Kissweh is an embroidery studio focused on designing and creating hand embroidered pillows inspired by the rich folk art of traditional Palestinia n needlepoint motifs. Each pillow is made by skilled craftswomen living in the refugee camps of Lebanon, giving them the opportunity to earn a fair living. Founded in 2017 by Claudia Martinez Mansell, Kissweh operates with the goal of being a contemporary source of exquisitely designed and timeless products that draw on the heritage of a historic tradition, while simultaneously providing work to a community of refugee women.
