Artist ReflectionsPhysically connecting with the surroundings—removing my shoes, stepping into the water, and feeling the saturated sand between my toes—allows me to immerse more d eeply in the calm of the present moment. In order to transmit that sensation of calm presence, I photographed this sunset just north of Herzliya in a way that the moving water is smoothed to a constant ephemeral reality, while the still rocks and growth maintain their crisp detail.
