Immortelle absolute (also known as Everlasting and more technically as helichrysum) is a wonderful floral absolute that has no equal. It has complex notes of hay, tobacco, caramel, fruit, honey and tonka. Our variety (replacing the previous by MANE) is by LMR and it is part of their "For Life" range. With this update we get a more beautiful and truer scent profile, as well as an easier to use pure absolute as its viscosity, whilst thick, is pourable with just a little warmth. A key component of Sables (1985) by Annick Goutal and L'Heure Bleue (1912) by Jacques Guerlain for Guerlain, this absolute combines beautifully with wood notes (especially Sandalwood), ionones, orris and violet and suits modern gourmand type fragrances where its sweetness is especially favoured. Blends with Sotolone are interesting. Note: Immortelle absolute is prized for perfumery especially, while the essential oil is preferred by aromatherapists. Immortelle is quite viscous so in addition to pure, we offer it at 50% in natural triethyl citral, an odourless isolate from citrus.
