Note - for the 4-shaft version, there are 244 heddles required on shaft 1. If you have an 8-shaft loom, you may prefer to use the 8-shaft version that spreads shaft 1 over shafts 5-8. This wide scarf is deceptively easy to weave. The Atwater Bronson lace structure with its blocks of weft floats followed by blocks of warp floats makes it easy to play with visual blending. With each yarn kit, the printed pattern is provided along with a digital download for pattern and WIF files (both 4 and 8 shafts) for the selected painting (colorway). Complete thread-by-thread threading and treadling printouts are included, along with summary color changes for warp and weft. The pattern is 22 pages long. We include the either the printed 4-shaft pattern with the yarn kit. If you prefer the 8-shaft printout, please make a note on your order. The only difference is the spreading of the threading over 8-shafts. The pattern and wif file downloads are also available separately as a purchase without the yarn kit.
