Acrylic on raw canvas.47x58x0.75"'Improvise' is one of 12 mood-boosting, large-scale paintings in the 'Painted Dances' series. These paintings embody the emotions, gestures, moveme nts and rhythms of dancers with and without physical disabilities, and neurodiversity. The series was created from distillations of over 100 painted sketches and titles are words captured during rehearsals and performances. A wheelchair rim was used to create circular shapes on some of the paintings and the colour spectrum represents the diversity of the artists involved.
