Warwicks and Richardsons of Newark purchased Brampton and its estate of pubs and promptly closed the brewery down. Throughout the estate of Brampton houses there was uproar over the disappearance of the much-loved Brampton Mild. Such was the furore that Warwicks took the unprecedented step of launching a brand new beer aimed and marketed specifically to quench this particular thirst. They launched “IMPY”, which was unashamedly marketed as the Brampton Mild recipe, but without the Brampton water (which they couldn’t use) and without the Brampton yeast (which they wouldn’t use). 🏆 Mild of the Festival at Leicester BF 2008 Learn more about this ale !!!
