A single gull wades into the stacks curiously exploring the mysteries contained in the rocks. Under the bright sun and warmed by the sand, he is sustained to go under the waves and into the shaded stones and learn more of the wisdom within. The artist often visits the Oregon Coast to dip her toes in the water and explore the tide pools in the crevices where myriad strange sea life make their home. She watches the gulls play in the waves. She painted this picture inspired from snaps she took on a beach day at Indian Beach.
