Indian Larry, Brooklyn, NY 2003. Larry was a hardcore biker, a street person, a criminal, a drug addict. He was funny, creative, and honest. He was many things to many people, but he turned his life around and became sober, spiritual, and a successful custom motorcycle builder, mechanic, and artist. He also became a very dear friend. We had a wonderful friendship for over 25 years. Even though I was usually off shooting celebrities in Hollywood, and he was doing his thing in New York City, we always had one thing that brought us back together - the bikes. This stunt was something he did a lot. He called it the crucifix: standing up on his motorcycle and riding with his arms out stretched. It’s also how he passed away. We were together on a last ride on that day, and although it pains me to have lost such an incredible friend, I know he wouldn’t have had it any other way.
