Explore the magic of indigo dyeing with fiber artist Melissa Galbraith of MCreativeJ. Learn how to fold and bind fabric to create patterns and designs with indigo dye. You’ll love seeing the dye change colors, and your designs come to life! Each attendee will receive four cotton tea towels to create their own patterns and are also encouraged to bring additional materials to dye. This class can get messy, so please wear clothing you don’t mind getting a little dye on. If you are bringing additional items to dye, please nothing larger than 3ft x3ft. How to get here - Parking lot is behind the building at 56th and S. Washington St. The building is right hand side - the green building. Signage will show Silver Kings and Crafty AF. Enter the door, we are on the left side. Please be aware that Crafty AF is an artistic space. We use a variety of materials such as paint, resin, glue and much more. Please wear clothing that you do not mind getting dirty. We do provide aprons and gloves here at Crafty AF. Workshops are to be reserved at least 48 hours in advance. This gives our artists time to prep the materials needed for the class. If you need to cancel, please let us know ASAP. No refunds will be given to any cancellations within 72 hours of the class. Our artists work hard to prep the workshops. We will try to assemble a Take Home Kit, or possibly a credit to a future class.
