Vincent de Rijk has been working as an industrial designer, furniture maker, and model builder for twenty years. After graduating from the Design Academy in Eindhoven, he started h is own workshop in 1987. He made his name with a series of bowls in ceramic with polyester resin and the many architectural models he has realized, primarily for OMA. The Rotterdam-based de Rijk has also emerged as a leading specialist in the field of transparent resins, with which he has produced many pieces of furniture.
