This adorable bronze sculpture is created by artist John Maisano. Measurements: 4.75"H 23.5"W 8"D Edition Size: 50 As I designed “Inkling” I included an Ancient Maze or Labyrinth o n his head representing how complex and brilliant these creatures are. I gave close attention to capturing the unique movement of the body with thetentacles being very wavelike. I have always loved Octopus, and wanted to highlight their chameleon-like ability to change colors—hence creating this sculpture with different colored patina. John Maisano is fascinated by the artistic designs found in Celtic, African, Inuit and Tribal art which he incorporates into his sculptures. Each sculpture is inscribed with intricate designs derived from natural forms and structures. His sculptures range in size from treasures that can be held in the palm of one’s hand to larger-than-life monuments. His work focuses on graceful interpretations of animals shaped in a way that captures the life force of each animal and transforms it into something more. Show more
