“Yet another tribute painting of one of my all time favourite guitarists & vocalists: Kurt Cobain. I relate to his discordant weird persona - Obscure lyrics & neurotic distorted guitars.Music is like art: there are no rules. He painted his own new wave sound/walked his own path (breaking a lot of guitars along the way) delivering abrasive raw liberating Seattle grunge. All the fake prim and proper robot bands that were dictating the same safe message at the time were eaten alive by the beast that was Kurt, Krist & Dave’s Nirvana. This art piece was painted from my rendition of the inside cover of the Incesticide album. I liked how Kurt was pictured fragmented and made him look even more disjointed. This is one of my favourite albums as it was more a underground sound before they got a bit more polished and famous.”
