Inner Moon Raw on the outside, radiant within—this piece is inspired by the spirit of the moon: imperfect, powerful and softly luminous. A modern interpretation of the classic moon jar — reminding us to embrace our inner light, even when the world feels dim. Starting at the base and slowly making my way upwards, I shaped it into proportion with my hands — not striving for symmetry, but for harmony. The form came together slowly, its slight asymmetry giving it character, a sense of life. The outer surface was left raw and unglazed to honor the natural texture of clay, while the interior was finished with a soft, white glaze that captures light just like the moon does in the night sky. Subtle variations in tone and texture highlight the layers of clay, much like the shifting phases of the moon. The matte exterior contrasts with the soft white interior reminding us to keep our inner balance, no matter the situation. Occasionally, I create a series inspired by a shared theme, yet even within those, no two pieces are ever alike — each carries its own unique character and identity.
