About this piece: Inner Refuge explores the quiet, internal space we retreat to when emotions feel too heavy to hold. Inspired by the loss of my brother at a young age, this piece reflects a time when I didn’t yet know how to understand or express grief. It felt like moving through deep water without knowing how to swim. I let grief live inside me- confusing, heavy, and deeply quiet. Through soft forms and grounded tones, I painted a moment of stillness within that weight. A place of protection, where emotion could exist without needing to be resolved. Inner Refuge speaks to the human instinct to find shelter within ourselves, reminding us that healing often begins not with movement, but with allowing ourselves to simply be. Painting size 37x37inch. Acrylic & oil stick on canvas. floating frame in walnut tone included. For any questions please email [email protected]
