In painting this, I was inspired by the strength and beauty of seemingly ordinary rocks along the trail I walk with my kids every day. This original painting is painted with natural pigments, such as limestone, sand, charcoal, coffee, brick, inks and even a dash of pepper. It is mixed with an acrylic medium to seal in the colors. The painting can be hung either horizontally or vertically. I can imagine it on a living room wall or above the bed.
