In nearly every case, damage to the transmitter results from power surges or spikes traveling through the Boundary Wire and not the power adapter. Our surge protector features connections for your buried wire loop and helps to protect your transmitter from spikes that travel via your in-ground wire loop, or your AC power connection. Plug unit directly into the wall outlet, then plug your transmitter into the convenient piggyback outlet. A few simple wiring connections and installation is done; includes complete instructions. Inexpensive surge protectors will not protect the transmitter because they do not contain protection for the Boundary Wire. See operating guide for safety information.
