As it’s a dreary day here in Sydney (written on a very wet September 11, 2025) it’s an opportune time to indulge in the latest from Massachusetts’ masters of misery, Innumerable Fo rms. Am I ready for another one of their records? Maybe not. Feels like I’m still recovering from their last one, ‘Philosophical Collapse’ (2022). Their signature brand of death/doom is as formidably cold and heavy as ever, with less breathing room than before. It’s overwhelming but after a handful of listens a memorable and affecting record reveals itself from the onslaught.
