Use this 7mm Walking Open Toe Foot on select Brother® models. The walking foot provides secure fabric feeding with an open toe for use with both utility and decorative stitches. The foot has movable feed dogs to enhance fabric feeding from the upper fabric surface. It has a horizontal opening for a wide range of left to right needle positions and added sole pressure. Use the quilting guide or the foot holder's quilting foot guide (inserted on the left or right side of the foot) for accurate stitch placement. To know if a sewing machine foot will fit your machine, first determine if your machine is high shank, low shank, or another style. Most home sewing machines are low-shank style. Only low-shank feet will fit a low-shank machine, and only high-shank feet will fit a high-shank machine. Then, determine the presser foot's attachment style: does the presser foot screw or snap onto the machine? As long as you choose a foot with the correct shank height and attachment style, many brands and types of presser feet may be applicable.
