Installation small is part of the Future Primitives series which Muller Van Severen presented in 2012 at Biennale Interieur in Kortrijk, Belgium. Different design functionalities are combined and juxtaposed in one object, creating a landscape of romantic minimalistic furniture. The unlacquered or white lacquered steel frame and hand-sewn leather seat offer a refined contrast to the fresh colors of the polyethylene shelves.The arc on top has an integrated lamp with a white opaline glass shade and can be rotated to cast light over each part of the installation. Two discreet screws on the side of the seat allow the piece to be dismantled and re-positioned with ease. This object is handmade in Belgium and has passed through the hands of many skilled artisans before arriving in our studio. Here, it is meticulously finished, inspected, and carefully packed before being shipped to you.
