The SSI Instructor Training Course (ITC) is your pathway to becoming a certified scuba diving instructor. As an instructor candidate with Tas Divers, you'll complete an intensive development program alongside our experienced instructor team — learning how to teach scuba diving to others, refine your own skills to an instructor standard, and develop the knowledge and confidence to train scuba courses professionally. This qualification is globally recognised and opens the door to a career teaching diving across Tasmania and around the world. After successfully completing the ITC, you will attend the Instructor Evaluation (IE) to become an SSI Open Water Instructor. *The Instructor Examination (IE) is an additional cost of $724 paid by the student — this fee is non-negotiable and is paid to SSI directly upon completion of the ITC.
