This workshop is all about trying something new, learning a new skill, and enjoying the creative process in a relaxed and supportive environment. A Few Things to Know—The pottery wheel is one of the most rewarding—and challenging—ways to work with clay. The best way to enjoy your workshop is to come with an open mind and focus on the experience rather than perfection. Learning to throw pottery takes practice, and most people won't master centering clay or create a perfectly shaped piece during their first session. That's completely normal! Every attempt is part of the learning process, and every piece you make is uniquely yours. Whether your creation is beautifully symmetrical or wonderfully one-of-a-kind, you'll leave with a fun experience and a new appreciation for the art of pottery. The wheel is messy, creative, and hands-on—and yes, cleaning up is all part of the experience! We recommend wearing clothes you don't mind getting a little dirty or bringing an apron.
