Instuō’s vincâ is more than just a dual VCA, as the clever design of the module makes it useful in a variety of applications. With nothing patched into the inputs of vincâ, the outputs provide a DC reference voltage with a range of +/- 10V. The upper channel can be used as a ring modulator, as it features a four-quadrant amplifier circuit with attenuverters for both the carrier and modulator signals. The bottom channel can interpolate between linear and exponential response and it is equipped with a dedicated slider. While vincâ can be used as a simple two-channel mixer, several modules can be chained together via the back jacks, allowing for user-definable creation of multi-channel mixer systems of any size.
