It's made from durable 18/8 stainless steel with a stainless steel lid panel, so no plastic touches your food. Let it sit for around 10 minutes, empty the water out, fill with HOT food immediately and place the lid straight on. When packing hot foods it is not recommended to store the food jar in an insulated lunch bag with an ice pack. It will cause the food to cool down faster than usual. If packing cold foods: Add ice water to the container for 5-10 minutes, then empty out and fill with your preferred cold food. Fill as much as possible, and close the lid ASAP. Please note: the type of food packed in the insulated jar affects the time it will stay warm - food such as soups will stay warm longer than foods like chicken nuggets.
