Intarsia is an artisanal marquetry technique that transforms surfaces through the precise inlay of contrasting materials. Traditionally rooted in fine furniture craftsmanship, this method demands meticulous cutting and placement to achieve intricate, layered designs. Casamance reimagines this heritage technique using natural leaves arranged in geometric patchwork patterns. Each piece celebrates the organic colour palette and distinctive texture of botanical materials, bringing the refined artistry of marquetry into contemporary design. The result is a striking interplay of natural tones and tactile depth that honours traditional craftsmanship while embracing modern aesthetic sensibilities. Show more
