This Pathological Australian Red Fox ‘Vulpes Vulpes’ skull is made to be interactive to be used as an educational aid or just for those with morbid curiosity. I have purposely not secured the bottom canine tooth into the mandible so you can remove it to see the hole in the root of the tooth matches up with the hole in the mandible. this pathology is due to an infection in the tooth that has formed an abscess that has spread into & eaten away at the bone, while also forming extra bone growth & bone abnormalities in the mandible. This specimen would be an amazing teaching aid for those in the animal care / veterinary industry or for those who just love the fascination of the anatomy.
