For contractors requiring a dependable solution for site installations, the Intermatic E200 Outdoor Enclosure provides a rugged, field-tested housing for critical electrical components. This NEMA 3R Plastic Outdoor Enclosure is engineered from high-impact, UV-stabilized gray plastic, effectively eliminating the risk of rust and corrosion that typically plagues metallic boxes in high-moisture environments. With a Type 3R rainproof rating, it is purpose-built to protect internal mechanisms?including Intermatic time switches, pool controls, relays, and contactors?from rain, sleet, and airborne dust. The E200 features a surface-mount design with five integrated combination knockouts (adjustable for 1/2-inch and 3/4-inch conduit) to streamline wire management. Internally, the enclosure is equipped with dedicated mounting bosses for DIN rail assembly or printed circuit boards, offering maximum flexibility for custom control layouts. The lockable hinged door with a secure latch ensures tamper resistance while maintaining easy access for routine maintenance or adjustments. Whether you are managing refrigeration merchandisers or septic treatment aeration systems, this enclosure provides the structural integrity needed for demanding outdoor applications. Key Benefits Corrosion-Proof Construction: High-impact plastic eliminates oxidation issues in coastal or high-humidity zones. Versatile Mounting: Built-in bosses support DIN rail, sub-panels, and PCB board integration. Rainproof Protection: NEMA 3R rating ensures internal electrical components remain dry and operational in inclement weather. Secure Access: Features a heavy-duty latch with a provision for a padlock or lead seal to prevent unauthorized entry. Universal Compatibility: Fits most Intermatic electromechanical and electronic timer series. Common Questions Is this enclosure compatible with non-Intermatic controls? Yes, while designed for Intermatic switches, the interior provides enough clearance and mounting bosses to house various relays, contactors, and custom electrical mechanisms. Does this unit require grounding? Due to the non-conductive plastic construction, the enclosure itself does not require a ground connection or bonding in pool applications, though internal components should be wired per local codes. What are the physical dimensions for fitment? The external dimensions are approximately 10" H x 6.5" W x 3.75" D, providing a compact footprint for tight installation spaces.
