**Sewing Level: Confident Beginners 6-week sewing course in Milton Keynes This is not a course where everyone makes the same garment. This six-week small-group atelier programme is designed for sewists ready to work more independently and thoughtfully. Each student will select a garment of their choice and work from a commercial sewing pattern or an existing garment, adapting it to suit their design ideas and fit. With the group intentionally limited to four students, teaching is focused, calm, and highly individual. You’ll be guided through pattern adaptation, fitting adjustments, and construction techniques, working in a studio environment that mirrors professional fashion practice. You’ll leave with a professional-quality garment, a personalised pattern you can reuse, and the confidence to adapt patterns for future projects. This course is ideal for graduates of our beginner programme or confident sewists who are ready to move beyond following instructions and begin making informed design choices. Students will develop their skills through: Adapting and customising commercial patterns Garment fitting and fit corrections Creative design development and fabric choices Construction and finishing techniques **Courses require a minimum of three participants to run.
