Part of Tavar Zawacki’s Interplay series, this study explores the tension between controlled structure and uncontrolled behavior. The work begins with intention, measurement, and c omposition. Once the paint is set in motion, it drags, hesitates, pools, fades, stutters, and settles in ways that cannot be fully anticipated. These marks become part of the decision-making process, allowing the painting to influence what follows.
