Elephants are highly social animals and often show affection through physical contact. Here three young elephants demonstrate a touching display of friendship. This grouping includ es Mundusi and Mteto. Spotted as a lone young calf, Mundusi was rescued and brought to the Nairobi Nursery in the spring of 2017. Mteto, who was rescued just a week prior, was his neighbor in the stockades and helped comfort him as he acclimated to his new home. Since then, the two have been close friends and now thrive in the wild herds of Tsavo. Show more
