Painted in acrylic with foliage pressed onto the canvas for an authentic display of its habitat. There is an emphasis on the light that catches his stance capturing his majestic strength. An array of different foliage, collected from Hampshire woodlands has been painted and pressed directly onto the canvas for an imperfectly true portrayal of natures plants and undergrowth. The semi abstract colours give a whimsical and intriguing portrayal of the stag and his natural habitat. My initials are displayed on the canvas edge with gold flake.
