INTO THE ZONE is a tabletop roleplaying game about delving into mysterious ZONES across the earth, places changed after the mysterious FLASH, an event disputed amongst professionals, civilians, and scholars alike. You play as a STALKER, a freelance mercenary on a mission to make it rich, search for something lost, or discover the mysterious SFEAR. There is plenty to impede your progress: mutated creatures, violations of physics, the desperate human military, and the Cult of the SFEAR – the weak and susceptible who do the bidding of the SFEAR’s alien emissions. The game runs on a set of rules dubbed the ZONE SYSTEM, which promotes lethality, narrative consequences, and OVERSEER (GM) intrusions. Inspired by video games like STALKER and ESCAPE FROM TARKOV, and RPGS such as Cy_Borg, Twilight: 2000, and OSR-likes, the game encourages exploration, preparation, and creativity to survive.
